Mr. Universe Thailand 2027 is set. Pattaya, June 27 to 29. I put it out on Instagram in mid-July, not long after the dust settled on the 2026 show, and I meant every word of it: a standard to surpass, and the journey continues.
This page is where the comeback gets tracked. Not a single article — a hub. Every check-in, every lesson, every phase of the build lives here in order, and this page grows every time a new one publishes. Start here, and you can follow the whole comeback from the first weigh-in to whatever happens on that stage next June.
Where 2026 Left Me
June 28, 2026. Mr. Universe Thailand. I took 4th place in Master's Bodybuilding at 53 years old, twenty years after a heart attack that should have ended a very different story. I've told the full recap already, so I won't repeat all of it here. The short version is enough to build a hub on: I was the biggest man on that stage. Not close. And three men beat me anyway.
The reason is the one I keep coming back to, because it's the whole point of everything that comes next: the judges reward condition, not mass. I broke down exactly what that means — dryness, separation, posing that actually shows both — in the piece I wrote about what 4th place taught me. Read it if you've never understood why a smaller, shredded guy beats a bigger, smooth one. It's not close either.
So that's the gap. Not size. Never was. Condition. Fourth place put a number on exactly how far I have to close it.
The Announcement: Mr. Universe Thailand 2027
Three weeks after the 2026 show, I posted the retrospective and the next target in the same breath: Mr. Universe Thailand 2027, Pattaya, June 27–29. "A standard to surpass. The journey continues... See you on the biggest stage yet."
I could have taken a season off. Plenty of masters competitors do, and nobody would've blamed a 53-year-old heart attack survivor for calling 4th place a good enough finish line. That was never the plan. The judges handed me a diagnosis, not a verdict. A diagnosis you can act on.
So the target is set. Same city. Same stage. Eleven months out instead of fourteen weeks.
Eleven Months Instead of a Fourteen-Week Scramble
Here's what that actually changes. The 2026 prep was a sprint from a comeback decision to a competition date — a documented 14-week build that answered one question for good: at 53, with a heart attack in my history, I could still put a competitive frame on a Mr. Universe stage. It did that. Size was never the argument.
Fourteen weeks doesn't leave room for much beyond building and holding. There's no slack for a stalled week, no room to fix a mistake without eating into the calendar you have left. Eleven months is a different sport. It means Phase 2 doesn't have to rush the cut to hit a date — it can run at the slow, boring pace that actually preserves size while stripping fat. It means posing practice becomes a habit instead of a last-minute cram. It means bloodwork every 8 weeks isn't a checkpoint before a scramble, it's just how the year runs.
At my age, time is the one resource that does more for a physique than any compound in my stack. Fourteen weeks got me on the stage. Eleven months is what gets me back on it standing where I want to stand.
Phase 2 Is Already the Foundation
I didn't wait for the announcement to start. Phase 2 — the recomposition plan built to keep every pound of size and strip the fat that kept me out of the top three — started the Monday after the 2026 show. I wrote up the whole protocol in detail in Phase 2: Cutting Fat Without Losing Size at 53: calories down from about 4,000 to 3,650, the cut taken entirely from carbs outside training windows, protein locked near 250 grams, double Push/Pull/Legs six days a week, fasted steady-state cardio, and a refeed every 7 to 10 days.
None of that changes because the target moved to 2027. It gets more room to work. Jordan and Kelly built the structure, my doctor reads the bloodwork every 8 weeks, and Tony Huge — the man behind the bloodwork-first, transparency-first methodology that got a heart attack survivor onto that stage in the first place — still checks the logic. I do the work. That's the whole operation, and it's the same one that carries straight through to next June.
The Real Life Behind the Comeback
Nobody's writing me a check for this. I work private security in Monaco with a crew of friends, and I worked that job right up until peak week for the 2026 show — "From Monaco to Pattaya. Mission complete." is exactly how I put it on Instagram the week of the show, and it's exactly what happened. Flew off a job into a competition. That's not a story I'm proud to hide. It's the story.
The comeback runs on the same discipline the job does. I've been posting the training and the self-talk right alongside it — "Make the time! Not excuses." isn't a caption I wrote for engagement. It's the rule I actually train by at 5 a.m. before a Monaco shift or a Muscle Factory session, whichever the day happens to be. At 53, funding your own comeback while working a physical job on the other side of the world isn't the exception in this sport. For most of us over 40 without a sponsor logo on our trunks, it's the whole deal.
I'm telling you this because the road to 2027 isn't going to look like a training montage. It's going to look like a man clocking a security shift, getting on a plane, and still hitting his numbers when he lands. That's the texture of this build. I'd rather you see the real version.
The Story So Far
This is the part that makes this page a hub and not just another post. Read in order, this is the whole comeback, start to finish, and I'll keep adding to it as the next 11 months produce new chapters.

What Comes Next
Eleven months is a long runway, and I'm not going to pretend I know exactly how every week of it plays out. What I know is the shape of it: Phase 2 keeps running, the cut keeps getting sharper, posing practice keeps happening after every session, and the check-ins keep posting — here and on Instagram — whether the number is good news or not.
Twenty years ago a heart attack put me in a hospital bed at 340 pounds. Fourth place at 53 was never the ceiling. It was a number the judges gave me to close. Mr. Universe Thailand 2027 is where I go find out if I closed it.
That's the X factor. I'm XFACTOR.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is Mr. Universe Thailand 2027?
June 27 to 29, 2027, in Pattaya. I announced it on Instagram in mid-July 2026, about three weeks after taking 4th place at the 2026 show. Same stage, same city, eleven months of runway this time.
How is the build for Mr. Universe Thailand 2027 different from the 2026 prep?
Time. The 2026 prep was a 14-week scramble from a comeback decision to a stage. This one starts from a Phase 2 that is already three weeks in, with eleven months to finish what 2026 only started: keep every pound of size and actually arrive conditioned.
What is Phase 2 and how does it fit the 2027 build?
Phase 2 is the recomposition plan I started the Monday after the 2026 show: about 3,650 calories, protein locked near 250 grams, double Push/Pull/Legs, fasted steady-state cardio, and refeeds every 7 to 10 days. It is not a separate project from the 2027 build. It is the foundation of it.
Who is funding XFACTOR Adonis's comeback?
I am. I work private security in Monaco with friends, and I worked that job right up until peak week for the 2026 show. Nothing about this comeback is sponsored-easy. It gets funded the same way it gets trained: by me, showing up.
Where can I follow the road to Mr. Universe Thailand 2027?
Right here. This page is the hub for the whole comeback and gets updated as new chapters publish. The daily training and self-talk reels live on Instagram at @xfactoradonis.
